ELISE Final Report of Skinive

We are happy to announce that we have successfully completed the Elise project. As part of Elise, our company has improved the performance of the Skinive MD application. So, the app is made more stable, convenient and effective for use in medical practice. The algorithm’s capabilities have been expanded, namely the accuracy of the technology for most classes has been improved. Moreover, the number of false negatives has been reduced by a factor of 3.8 (see Report of Skinive).

Also, the Skinive algorithm has become more focused on mobile photography, one could argue that our neural network has become more adaptable to real clinical practice using a smartphone camera. Mobile devices with the Skinive app installed can be used with great confidence by primary care physicians for skin pathology screening. As a result, this should have a positive effect on the availability and quality of medical care.
